On October 18, 2025, Global Tech Network co-hosted by AUCA Alumni Engagement Committee and Plug and Play was successfully held at the Capital International Exhibition & Convention Center, Beijing. More than 20 top universities from North America, Europe, and Asia attended, including UCL, UC Berkeley, UCLA, the University of Hong Kong, Northwestern University, Johns Hopkins University, and Duke University, as well as the alumni associations from Beijing. The event established a wide-ranging global alumni venture network. Nearly 300 alumni engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as venture capital trends, technological innovation, and the alumni ecosystem, and witnessed the launch of the "Haidian AI Origin Community - Alumni Lounge". All the alumni associations became the first batch of partners to join the "Alumni Lounge".

The event was unveiled by Jun Yang, the chairman. Chen Zhao, Executive Vice President of Plug and Play China, Member of AUCA Alumni Engagement Committee delivered the opening speech, expressing the expectation of establishing a high-quality and highly trusted alumni communication platform and promoteing the effective exchange of global innovation resources.

Liankui Gao, Vice Chair of the Association of Returned Overseas in Haidian Beijing, delivered a speech featureed on "Macroeconomy and China's Entrepreneurial Trends". He analyzed the entrepreneurial opportunities from a macro economic perspective and the challenges in the current economic environment, providing profound industry insights and the tendency of judgment. 

The panel discussion was partcipated by Chen Zhao, Plug and Play China, Zizhuo Li, Fuel Ventures Asia and Yinfei Li, Ignis AI. The panelists had an in-depth discussion on the investment logic in the AI field, the profiles of entrepreneurs, and non-consensus judgments. They shared their investment strategies and practical experiences of different capital attributes and marketing cycles.

Nan Liu, Vice President of ‌Infinigence AI‌ and Shuhan Mao, co-founder of Dongyi Network Technology, presented the cutting-edge practices in the field of AI computing power and intelligence. Andre Marks, the leader of Plug and Play China's overseas expansion project delivered a presentation based on the theme of "Connect with Silicon Valley".

Jihang Xie, Director of Plug and Play China's Cross-border Innovation, served as the host. Jingcao Zhang, President of the UCL Alumni Association in Beijing, Xinlu Dong, Secretary of the UC Berkeley Alumni Association in Beijing, Huatian Li, Vice President of the UCLA Alumni Association in Beijing and Jie Peng, Vice President of the Hong Kong University Alumni Association in Beijing, participated in the roundtable forum.

The launching ceremony of "Haidian AI Origin Community · Alumni Lounge" was successfully held. Wanjun Zhao, head of university cooperation of Plug and Play China, and representatives from the alumni associations in Beijing of over 10 universities including UCL, UCLA, UC Berkeley, the University of Hong Kong, Northwestern University, and Johns Hopkins University, jointly initiated the event.

The "Alumni Lounge" located in the Haidian AI Origin Community was initiated by Plug and Play China and Haisheng Group. It is adjacent to many top universities and research institutions such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. This open space is open to all alumni of the cooperating alumni associations for free and serves as a regular base for salons, project roadshows, and resource connections, aiming to become a physical hub that reaches out to tens of thousands of alumni worldwide.

At the end of the event, all the alumni had lively communication with each other. Many of them have already begun to plan activities in the "Alumni Lounge" in the future. This autumn gathering offered continuous innovation and development for Global Tech Network.
