On July 24, the first "V Creativity Training Camp" launched by the AUCA and V Gathering Yangpu came to a successful conclusion.
More than 20 students and representatives from world-renowned overseas universities such as Cornell University, University of Chicago, Johns Hopkins University, the Ohio State University, University of Virginia, and Babson College gathered at this innovative hotbed of V Gathering Yangpu. Through a whole day of expert knowledge sharing, immersive communication, and practical creative operations, they unlocked the operation mechanisms behind the domestic social media platforms, made friends with excellent peers, and successfully enhanced their social media capabilities.
V Gathering is a high-quality internet content creation cluster in Yangpu District Shanghai, and it is also the first content creation cluster project created by Yangpu District. Its aim is to attract and gather high-quality internet content creators. Leveraging the unique resources of "university + factory" of Yangpu District, it aims to accelerate the formation of a "big triangle of innovation" integrating "university - factory - influencer" within the region. V Gathering is equipped with various office spaces, such as shared meeting rooms, live streaming rooms, and multi-functional halls, providing creative spaces and diverse ecosystems for content creators and related institutions and enterprises.

Four experienced guests who have been deeply involved in Red Note, Bilibili and Douyin conducted in-depth discussions on popular topics such as how to build a personal IP and how to rapidly gain followers. They analyzed the industry trends, shared practical experience, and brought valuable insights to the overseas students.
Regarding the issues that students were most concerned about, such as the career planning of self-media and the monetization of platform resources, the guests answered questions one by one. They provided precise and practical guidance based on their own professional experiences and industry trends, helping students clarify the development path of self-media and assisting them in taking the first step in new media area.

During the practice part, the students transformed into "one-day creators", and were divided into groups to explore every unique space of V Gathering. Four teams started shooting simultaneously. Some were responsible for moving the camera to capture the light and shadow, some focused on the logic of the story, and some guaraunteed the editing rhythm - they exchanged viewpoints in the real shooting scenes, refined the works in the limited collaboration, and completed the entire process from script to finished video. This real-life creative practice not only produced vivid short videos, but also gave each participant valuable "set experience".
A total of 18 students from overseas universities successfully completed all the sessions of the first "V Creativity Training Camp" and finished a new media co-creation journey featuring intellectual exchanges and self-expression.
The overseas talent training base jointly launched by AUCA and V Gathering Yangpu aims to build a bridge between overseas talents and urban innovation, empowering international students to master core creative skills in the digital age, and constructing an international communication ecosystem of "government - university - enterprise" collaboration. More Yangpu stories, Shanghai stories, and Chinese stories will be accessible to the world through social networks in country and abroad.
